The Transaction History page in the Braid interface provides a centralized view of all financial transactions processed through the system. It enables users to track transaction details, review their status, and ensure proper oversight of payment flows. This tool is crucial for financial management, compliance, and resolving any issues or discrepancies.

Key Features

  1. Transactions Table:

    • Lists all transactions, each representing a specific financial activity.

    • Table Columns include:

      • Created: The date and time the transaction was initiated (e.g., 2024-10-07 17:00).

      • Account Number: Identifies the account involved in the transaction (e.g., 30921413).

      • Amount: Shows the transaction amount, indicating a credit (+) or debit (-).

      • Customer: The customer associated with the transaction (e.g., Onboarding, LL Bean).

      • Counterparty: The other party involved in the transaction, providing context for the transaction's destination or source.

      • Description: Additional information about the transaction, such as tracking IDs or the nature of the payment.

      • Transaction Type: Specifies the type of transaction, such as ACH Originator Credit, ACH Withdrawal, or Fee ACH Transaction.

      • Details: An icon or link providing more detailed information about the transaction.

      • Status: Displays the current state of the transaction (e.g., Pending, Posted).

      • Updated: Shows the most recent update time for the transaction's status or details.

  2. Filtering, Columns, and Density Options:

    • Filters: Use filters to narrow down transactions based on criteria like date, status, account number, or transaction type.

    • Columns: Customize the visible columns to focus on specific details.

    • Density: Adjust the display density for a more compact or detailed view.

    • Collapse: Option to hide or reveal additional details for a cleaner view.

  3. Search and Export Functionality:

    • Search: Quickly find specific transactions by entering keywords, account numbers, or customer names.

    • Export: Download a record of transactions for offline analysis, reporting, or audits.

How to Use the Transactions Page

  1. Reviewing Transactions:

    • Navigate to the Transactions page to see a list of all transactions.

    • Use the Status column to identify Pending transactions that may require further attention.

    • Review the Description and Transaction Type columns for insights into the nature of each transaction.

  2. Filtering and Searching for Specific Transactions:

    • Click Filters to apply specific criteria, such as narrowing down transactions to a certain date range or focusing on a specific account number.

    • Use the Search bar to quickly locate transactions using keywords or identifiers like tracking IDs.

  3. Accessing Detailed Information:

    • Click on the Details icon next to a transaction for more in-depth information.

    • This is particularly useful when needing additional context to resolve issues or verify details for compliance purposes.

  4. Exporting Transaction Data:

    • Click the EXPORT button to download a report of the transactions displayed on the screen.

    • Exported data can be used for audits, reporting, or analysis in external tools like spreadsheets, supporting compliance and documentation requirements.

Best Practices

  • Regularly Review Pending Transactions: Focus on transactions with a Pending status to ensure they are processed promptly.

  • Organize Transactions Using Filters: Use filters to streamline the view and focus on transactions that match specific criteria, making reviews more efficient.

  • Document Actions Using Notes: If additional details or follow-up actions are required, ensure that any necessary notes are added to maintain a complete record.

  • Export Data for Record-Keeping: Regularly export transaction records for audit purposes, ensuring you maintain thorough documentation of all financial activities.
